Lulah is the little cattledog mix that belongs to another rescue out of Monticello, GA. We posted her a couple of weeks ago to try to help the rescue pay for $4000 worth of emergency care for what was believed to be some sort of poisoning. Our post helped to raise a little money, but more than half was paid out of their own pockets.

Unfortunately, right after she was released from the ER, she took a turn for the worst and needed more plasma transfusions.

There was no more money, but she needed more critical care or she would die, so they asked us for help. She went Georgia Veterinary Specialists for several days and ALR covered her costs. There are a lot of small rescues out there that put heart and soul into what they do, but don't have the resources that the larger groups do. We were happy to help save a life, even if she wasn't one of ours.

She left GVS last a week ago and we were able to find a wonderful foster in town to take her while she continued to recuperate. She is well now and ready to go back to the rescue on Thursday. She is such a cute girl and has done so well with our foster that we thought we'd post her again to see if anyone would like to adopt her or even foster for them.
